Teresa, I guess it depends on what you like to read. Julie Garwood's book is listed as suspense but I'm sure it's romantic suspense. I've always liked her. I've read a bit of David Liss and he's very good, so you might like The Whiskey Rebels. OTOH, if you're reading on the computer for the first time a book of essays like The Idiot Girl and the Flaming Tantrum of Death might be best, since you can read a little at time without losing track of the plot. Just some thoughts.

I've already read Julie Garwood's book so I can recommend it. She's always good. I think I'll try a couple of the others... after all they're free!

Thanks for the recommendation, Beth. I've always enjoyed Julie Garwood's books, too, plus she's such a nice person. I read a little bit of one of David Bliss's books and liked it. If you like historical fiction, The Whiskey Rebels would be a good choice.

Good tips. I've not read an e-book yet, but this makes me want to try. If only my to-be-read stack wasn't such a tower!

In my opinion, it is an interesting question, I will take part in discussion. I know, that together we can come to a right answer.
